Sheku Fofana

Sheku Fofana serves as our Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, and is one of the first staff members our clients interact with upon admission to our program.

Sheku is a highly motivated professional who is focused on providing in-depth quality care, maintaining direct lines of communication with patients, and thrives in working collaboratively to provide evidence-based care.

Sheku has more than seven years of acute care experience in hospitals including critical care nursing in a Level 1 Trauma Center at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center as well as assisting patients at Cedars-Sinai Medical Group in urgent care. Additionally, Sheku has extensive work and training with patients diagnosed with opioid use disorder, stimulant use disorder, and other major substance use disorders.

Sheku obtained his Masters of Science in Nursing as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing Practitioner from Azusa Pacific University, and his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from California State University, Los Angeles.

Sheku was born and raised in Southern California, and currently resides in Los Angeles with his rescue companion Max. In his free time, Sheku enjoys going to the movies, traveling to different countries, and spending time with family and friends.
